Question by Anna Almonte: What should i get for a graduation gift?
I’m in high school now, junior year, and i will be graduating in 2012.
My mother, asked me what i wanted for my graduation gift, for 8th grade I got an Ipod touch.
She asked me if i wanted another ipod, a classic, because when ill be in college I will listen to music a lot, more than i do now. Since the classic has so much memory it is a good idea to get that, and on top of that my ipod touch loses battery quickly. Its estimated time till death is 1 hour.
That is the only thing in my mind to get,
here is what i have:
Laptop (Mac book)
Car (not yet in 2012 i will be getting my mom’s old car when she buys herself a new one, so no need to worry about that.)
Ipod touch (Loses battery too fast)
Psp (Which i don’t play)
DS(Which i don’t play)
WII (Which i don’t play anymore)
Camera (Christmas gift from father this year, since my brother broke mine on my birthday this year.)
So please give me any ideas on what i should get, im not really sure, i actually need to think about it now because im the most pickiest person.
So please give me ideas.
Also i dislike the ipad, and don’t watch television at all, or play any video games.
-____- no duh! im gonna get a job! thats how im going to pay for college! Im only 16 now, i wish i can apply for one, so its sort of common sense im gonna be getting a job to pay for college my books and everything else, and to support my mother!

Definatley get the iPad!
It’s an unbelievably cool product! I’ve had it for a week now, and it has exceeded my expectations in every area but one. It is such a pleasurable experience to hold it and interact with the machine. It is a very intuitive, tactile, and personalinteraction with the web.
Having a touch screen to interact with the web is a very different experience than using a mouse.
It is NOT supposed to be a netbook, so reviews which compare what it doesn’t have, miss the point.
This is a whole new computing device to accomplish perhaps 80% of what most people use computers for for all the basic uses (email, web surfing, music, movies (the Netflix app rocks!), games, ebook, magazine reading (Zinio is great), and the news (the USA Today app is a joy to use) it is great.I have already been finding myself on my laptop much less often than before.
The iWork apps are a pleasure to use. The one area that seems to be more convoluted than it should be, is printing. You can’t print directly from it. You have to either email it to yourself, or transfer the file over when you sync with iTunes. But it looks like the 4.0 version of the operating system is going to provide a lot of fixes which people are looking for.
A few years from now, tablets like this will be everywhere, and those who are on computers are mainly using them for work. I knew the iPad would be a big hit when my 70 old mother, after seeing mine, decided she was going to get one too!
As for buying them, you’re best bet for the cheapest price is off eBay where i’ve seen them for $ 170 shipped or on Amazon.com
I’ve provided links to both below, your choice and best of luck!!

Besides buying an iPad, why don’t you get an aPad? It’s basically the same thing as the iPad but just 100x cheaper and does exactly the same thing. I got mine at ReplicaPad.com and shipped within the same week. I got it for about $ 167 – compare that to iPad’s price of $ 500-600!!!!
